In this Star Wars Sith Empire-inspired deck, Sauron, Lord of the Rings assumes the role of Emperor Palpatine, the mastermind behind the rise of the Empire and the spread of the Dark Side throughout the galaxy. While Palpatine serves as the deck’s primary inspiration, a variety of Sith Lords can lead from the command zone, including Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, and Darth Revan. As Imperial forces amass and the Dark Side’s influence grows, the temptation of the Ring is reimagined as the pull of the Dark Side, while the Amass mechanic becomes a vast Imperial Army. Backed by Sith Lords, Imperial war machines, and the Dark Side itself, what begins as a servant of darkness soon grows into an Empire capable of conquering the galaxy.
